It's been a good summer. Not too busy with going here and there but still busy with fun stuff. One of the big reasons we haven't been going here, there and everywhere is we have been working quite hard to get our house on the market. It is listed at the moment and now we wait...so if you think of us, please pray for a quick sale...or for much patience for us =)
Caleb turned 11 in July and he wanted to take some friends rock climbing and out to eat so off we went. The boys had a blast!

And this past Saturday we just got back from vacation. We went to the Cape with my family for a week. It was fun and the cousins absolutely loooove being together for a week...and this year there were 2 more in the mix with Mia and Kiah!
Of course there is much beach time down the Cape. For the most part, we had great weather!
The house we rent has kayaks and this year there were some different ones to use which were so much easier for the kids to use and maneuver (okay, for the adults too!).
Josiah especially took a liking to the kayaking. Looks like we may have to add one of these to our camping list in the future.
Caleb got some snorkel gear for his birthday and was psyched to be able to use it right away.

As a kid going to the cape, one of my favorite things to do was feed the ducks at the boat ramp while my dad and uncle got the boat in or out of the water. I remember it so clearly. And it seems my kids enjoyed it just the same. So we took our "duck bread" (yes, believe it or not though this italian family loves its bread, some actually sat around long enough to become "duck bread").
This was definitely one of my favorite memory making moments watching the kids feed the ducks and help Jasmine to feed them too. She loved it!
So Jonas and Jasmine had a bit of a love/hate relationship for the week but in the end, I think it was more love. Jonas loved helping to take care of her all week and takes his big cousin role quite serious!
Kiah's first time in her life jacket for the boat! She didn't mind it at first but then realized how much she didn't like it.
And yeah, she is that good of a baby...she just fell asleep on the beach...in the middle of the noisy kids, seagulls, water and boats...she just fell asleep.
Yes, you are seeing this one correctly. It's a shark head. Yes, a real shark head. The kids found it on the beach. A bit unnerving but cool nonetheless. For the rest of the week, we called our beach sharkhead beach.
Kiah was taken on many walks by many people so she got used to this ride.

We hit the same bike trail that we did last year but this year we took Jonas! He LOVED riding in the trailer behind mommy. He was the keeper of the snacks and drinks. The kids rode great and it's impressive for those little ones to ride 7 miles! I know my legs felt it pulling that extra trailer weight but the exercise felt fantastic! Next time, we'll have Kiah and Jonas in the trailer. =)
The trail rides by a beautiful beach so always a good photo op.
If we had a couple more miles on our trail, I think this guy would have fallen asleep easy.
