One Day at a Time...

Ok, so much for updating once a week! It's been quite busy in the Libby household. Last week was our school break so we got to spend time together as a family. Of course, much of that time has been in the bathroom as we are still learning to use the potty. I am happy to report that Caleb is doing MUCH better this week and I think he is finally getting the hang of this potty business. Today was the first day he actually told us he had to go and then went! It's amazing how when you have kids, the meaning of a successful day changes drastically! It was also Dave's birthday this week. He is 32. We had family and friends over for a turkey dinner on Monday and then we went out as a family to eat on Tuesday. The boys and I got him an ipod so he has been having fun with his new toy. The boys also got him a "Whirley Pop" so he has also been enjoying some good homemade popcorn too. Music and popcorn...two of his favorite things!
I have been real busy with Stampin' Up! these days. I have 6 workshops and events lined up so business has been good and I have been able to some FREE stamp stuff and make some extra money for our family...WOO-HOO! On Thursday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese with Isaac and another friend from church. They had a great time. Even Josiah was getting in on the fun. It's hard to believe he's already 11 months old. I'll be working on his birthday plans over the next few weeks as well as celebrating my birthday this weekend...hello to the big 3-0!!!!! Have a great week everybody!!

Update

I know, I know, you have all been lying in bed at night wondering how Caleb is doing with potty training...you and me both! Things are going alright. The first day was our best and since then it's been a bit more challenging. Caleb is just not as into it as he was first day. I know you wouldn't think so, but making potty time a fun time is NOT an easy task! So please continue to pray for patience and energy as we continue this potty mambo!!! We'll get there. Besides all the "potty fun" we've had, we have had a lot of fun in other areas too. Josiah has learned to roll a ball and he is really into running cars and trucks on the floor (I wonder where he gets that from!). He has also mastered the art of standing in the crib and pulling up on everything he can. Caleb got his very own shaving kit for Valentine's Day. He was so excited to shave just like daddy!

It's Potty Time!

Well, here goes...I am potty training Caleb this week. At least that is the plan anyway. He has been quite excited about going on the potty and getting to wear underwear...it may have something to do with the fact that he gets an M & M (or as he likes to call them "num-num") when he goes. Yes, my son is VERY motivated by food. So, that will pretty much be my week. I'm certainly not planning any major outings which is actually ok considering it was about -5 degrees with the wind chill today! I hope that next week I have a good potty report...PRAY FOR ME!!!!! Here is picture of my matching cutie patuties!!! Thanks for the P.J.'s Marci!

Crop 'Til You Drop

Well, I am back from my scrapping weekend and what a great time! It was so relaxing and productive. I completed 26 pages in my books!!! I was so excited. In addition to scrapbooking, the weekend itself was just quite relaxing. We'd scrap, then eat, then scrap, then sleep, then scrap, then eat...you get the idea. I have never scrapbooked as early as 7:30 am before! And the best part was being able to leave everything out for the next day without worrying anybody's little paws touching things. We were at a friend's house in NH and it was so quiet and peaceful. Sunday morning we had little devotional time together just sharing, reading the Word and praying together. I was refreshed in every way except physically. But I guess that's what happens when you scrap until 2:30 in the morning! For those of you wondering, Dave survived as well. When I walked in the door, the first thing Caleb said was, "You made more books?". He was happy to have new pictures to look at. Dave was pretty tired when I returned home but the kids were good for him and he said he had a good weekend. Maybe that means I can do this again sometime...here are some pics from the weekend.
This was our quaint little set-up.

Lauren and I re-charging with a little dinner break.

I know...what on earth is this a picture of? It is us scrapping in the dark to candlelight when we lost power for 2 hours on Friday night. Yup, 20 candles and pounds of paper...real safe!
