Happy Days

We had a very busy weekend celebrating Josiah's first birthday and Easter. The kids thoroughly enjoyed how much cake and candy was involved! Here are some pictures from our celebrations. Hope everyone had a GREAT Easter and is having a good week.

Auntie Lauren made both cakes. She just couldn't make up her mind with the animal theme.
The cupcakes were amazing! Each one had an individual animal made out of chocolate that she and she decorated each one! Watch out Martha Stewart!!!!

Josiah really enjoyed his first experience with cake. As you can see he had it everywhere and loved every bite of it!

Josiah got a bit tired in the middle of opening gifts. Come to think of it, both boys slept really well that night!

Caleb enjoyed coloring Easter eggs for the family this year. This was his first time and he did pretty good with it.

My handsome boys on Easter morning. Of course Josiah is my smiley one and Caleb not so much but at least I got him in the picture!

Our first attempt at a nice family Easter picture.

Not perfect but we will take it!!!

Celebrating 8 years

It's hard to believe that Dave and I have been married 8 years already but it is true! We celebrated this week up in the White Mountains. We stayed at this really cool hotel called Adventure Suites. There are 16 rooms and each one has a different theme. There is a treehouse, a cave, a roman spa, a motorcyle room, a log cabin and some others. But since we are such big fans of "Lost" we chose to stay in the "Deserted Island" suite. Now normally I would not post a picture of Dave and I in a bed but as you can see, it was one cool bed. It was shaped like an oyster! There were a lot of extras included for us too like homemade cookies at night, fresh popped popcorn (right up Dave's alley!), breakfast and about 800 movies to choose from! We didn't do a whole lot in the area but we just got to relax and SLEEP! We did shopping for the boys for Easter and got some things for Josiah's party this weekend. It was just great to spend some quality time together. And this morning it was most appropriate for me to want to be back in the oyster when my 2 year old son comes in my room at 6:30 and says "Mommy, what happened to my candy?" while looking at his hand. No, it wasn't candy on his hand...you do the math! Welcome home!!!!!

SURPRISE!

Well, I have been waiting to post this one...many of you have already heard the rumor which is not exactly a rumor. YES, we are expecting baby Libby #3 this year!!! You are shocked? So were we! Although we always knew we would have another baby, we just didn't think it would be so soon. Well, God had other plans. We are certainly on his agenda and not ours! I am about 7 weeks along and due on October 30th (my mom's birthday!) I went to the doctor's this week and had an ultrasound and things are fine. We did tell Caleb and so now when you ask him what's in mommy's belly, he says "a sistah" (in his oh, so cute New England accent). We shall see if he's right. And NO, I am still not going to find out what we are having for all of you who want us too! You will just have to wait until October just like us. I showed Caleb the picture and he just couldn't wrap his mind around the idea that a picture was taken of inside my belly but that he couldn't see the baby now. I'm sure this will be loads of fun with him as I get bigger!
So, there you have our exciting news of the week. Pray for us as you think of us as a new baby will probably mean a new house for us and that will be all GOD! He is certainly making this year all about Him and putting our trust in Him. We are excited to see what he has in store for us through this new little life!

Our Week

From our house to yours...the boys are being boys and they are keeping us busy. The most difficult part has been the early morning hours they wake up. Usually between 5-5:30 am (Oh yeah, that's East coast time!). I told Dave they are like our little roosters. He said the roosters aren't even up yet! Hopefully next week when we change the clocks they will sleep until 6:00 which I know will be 5:00 really but I can dream, right?!?!
Dave also got a chance to go to a Bruins game this week with my Uncle and a couple of other. They had box seats and all the food and drinks they wanted. It was his first time seeing a game and he had a BLAST! He said I would enjoy too (I have always wanted to see a hockey game) but of course I want to go with the box seats too!
We celebrated my birthday this week which was fun. I went to a breakfast at the church with the ladies ministry in the morning, had a Stampin' Up! workshop in the afternoon and then there was a little shindig celebration at my mom's house. Here are a couple of pics. Caleb just loves to line his cars (and HATES when Josiah messes them up!) and I just thought Josiah looked adorable in his little sailor outfit! Thanks Aunt Eileen! Have a GREAT week everybody!
