Summer Fun
We are having a really fun summer and I guess it's just best put into pictures...enjoy!
We have been going to summer camp quite this summer and Hannah insists on carrying a backpack to the car...I guess I have to get her a little girly one of her own! And yes, she asked for the shades!
This picture makes me smile...a couple months ago, Dave and I were talking about wanting to get the kids a swingset or at least start saving for one so maybe we could get one next summer. Probably 2 weeks later, one of our co-workers was talking about how she put her swingset on freecycle but everyone that looked at said it was too big and too tough to disassemble and transport. So we went and looked and took on the challenge. I am so blessed to have such a handy husband. It wasn't the easiest task but he did it and the kids love their new swingset. The whole thing was reminder that God truly does sees our desires no matter how big or small and takes care of them in his own way.
The thing is huge! You can't see it but on the other side of the slide are a couple of hanging and climbing structures too. They love it!
Caleb's been getting a little more tech savvy with the computer and while he was playing his game one day, he was so pooped, he just fell asleep! Summer days wearing him out I guess.
We finally got on my parents boat for the first time this season and had an awesome day with the family at the beach.
Here is Dave's favorite spot on the beach, digging with the kids! And no, Rick and Wendy did not have another blonde child that you see in the background. He was just at the beach and wanted to join in on the fun!
Since Hannah wasn't walking last summer, she really wasn't sure what to do at the beach at first. She wouldn't let go of Uncle Eric's hand for the longest time.
Though we had a fun long weekend, we really didn't do anything on the 4th except relax at home and Dave wanted to do some sparklers with the kids. One sparkler was enough for Josiah and he was VERY good at keeping it away from his body...he is a very literal child and takes words seriously...good thing in this case!
A friend of mine gave us this sand/water table this week and the kids had a blast with it today! That's right...everybody, shirts off!!!!
